When I was in Seattle this year, it was actually sleepless due to a nasty sinus infection! I met up with a friend after I got a ton of antibiotics from the local Zoom+Care (highly recommend this spot over a general Urgent Care). We did all the things a tourist in Seattle needs to do, and we checked out all the best food. Here is my Top Ten List with a bit of background info on each to make your visit even better!
- The Space Needle – Do not climb up onto the glass to take photos, you will be asked to leave immediately.
- Heartwood Provisions – Try The Original Provision beef jerky as an appetizer, it’s the “original” for a reason.
- Smith Tower – Chat up the elevator operator, he knows ALL of the fun facts.
- Pike Place Market – In the middle fish market, they SING. Stick around for it. They also throw throw fish, which makes for a great Boomerang video.
- Mee Sum Pastry – BBQ PORK BUNS. That is All.
- Zig Zag Cafe – The Mother of Dragons cocktail is all of your GOT dreams come true. Also – their happy hour pricing is bomb.
- Gum Wall – It seems gross, and it is, but it looks awesome. It’s sort of hard to find, but jet down the stairs underneath the Public Market sign and you’re right there.
- Michou Deli – Quickest and most delicious lunch I’ve had in a while. It’s cash only though – so come prepared!
- Museum of Pop – So this *could* be lame, but I became a hip-hop DJ, video game superstar and toured the Marvel Exhibit all within an hour – let your inner nerd rejoice!
- Lecosho – Charcuterie & whiskey is all you need in life, honestly.
