On a warm spring morning, a few of my pals and I decided to embark to find Escondido Falls! The trail is just off of the PCH and is approximately 4 miles in and out. We went during the Super Bloom and the flowers along the trail did not disappoint. There was only one run-in with a rattler a little ways off the trail. Another hiker was checking out the snake, so we snuck around and stayed out of potential harm’s way. At about 35 miles outside of Los Angeles, this is a great destination when you’re feeling like you need to be immersed in nature. We climbed some trees, and went into the waterfall before heading back to the insanity that is LA-living.
